Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Menu > Production > Work Queue
Use Work Queue to list job operations scheduled in
each resource group. This queue informs the shop
employees of the operations to perform and the order of operations according to the schedule. To start direct labor entry, the employee selects a job from the list.
Work Queue also provides quick access to other information useful to both the employee and supervisory personnel, such as a picture of the part, extended operation, and job description. The work queue is an extended Priority Dispatch report online that creates a paperless shop floor.
Work Queue can be used in a lean environment to create a more flexible and productive environment for dispatch to, and reporting of labor on the plant floor. This is an environment where teams of people are working on a number of operations simultaneously, periodically reporting completion quantities in a work cell. It usually involves small run quantities; required materials are typically available line side using Kanban or replenishment bins. It can also be used in environments where a single operator is working multiple operations simultaneously. The Work Queue allows an operator to:
Run it in a non-modal window that is accessible on a continual basis in a cell area.
Quickly identify active work and clock into multiple jobs as work flows through the cell.
Start production activity for multiple job operations selected from the Current, Available and Expected sheets.
Select multiple job operations and end activity on them simultaneously on a periodic basis.
Active Work 开始了的工作
Use the Active Work sheet to list all active jobs for the current user; it can also be used to end several active job operations simultaneously.
Current Work 正在进行的工作
Use the Current Work sheet to list current operations and start production activity for several job operations simultaneously. Current operations are defined as operations that are scheduled for the selected resource group that are not yet started, but where previous operations for the job are complete.
Available Work 可以开始的工作
Use the Available Work sheet to list available work records and start production activity for several job operations simultaneously. Available operations are defined as operations scheduled for the selected resource group where a completed quantity exists from a previous job operation, making it possible to start work on the operation.
Expected Work 今后预期的工作
Use the Expected Work sheet to list expected operations and start production activity for several job operations simultaneously. Expected operations are defined as operations scheduled for the selected resource group, but quantities have not yet been completed on previous operations.
