1.IBM T43 Intel ipw2200
虽说有说法称驱动支持AP模式，但一则驱动太老，失去维护，二则基本编译不能通过，除非你用老版本kernel。

2.HostAP Driver 与 HostAPd
很容易被混淆，HostAPd 只支持有限的几种Drivers，其中包含他自家的HostAP，基本给 Prism2/2.5/3 的芯片使用；还有Madwifi（基本 for Atheros 芯片）HostAPd更是仅支持 ar521x系列；再有Prism54芯片，HostAPd仅支持（Prism GT/Duette/Indigo）。

3.ZD1211B厂商版的驱动
虽然支持AP模式，但目前已停止维护，居说自能在2.6.1X里正常编译通过。此种芯片也是国内市场最广泛的芯片。变通方法：使用2.4或者2.6.1X的kernel（RHEL5 2.6.18 内核已测试，未成功）。
