I have been in Beijing for several days.Today is the last day here. The first time when I went here is the National Holiday in 2008 ,when I was still a teacher in Chengdu Science and Technogy ,tired and boring, hoping to see the outside world and desiring for prosprous future. The first impression that Beijing gave me is unforgetable.Besides being as one of the most popular and modern cities in China ,Beijing also has its own characteritics:the combination of traditional buidings and modern masions, the unique imperial elogance and the open-mind and hospitality of the local people.Although their is a saying "He is not a true man until he is approching The Great Wall",he first site I think of as the must-be-go place is The Forbidden City, which confines Chinese history in a little box and tourists are expected to learn Chinese in a short time : the grand architecture of the old Chinese emperor often drive the tourists dumb;the reserved and mildsheen that the precious stone and jade send makes the spectators linger on and forget to move.
Even though I have once visited The Forbidden City, I still find it is necessary to look around it again. This time I go into detail to appreciate the antiques and taste it .The most impressive one is the ston drumes with Chinese Character in Shigu Museum ,which were a valuable evidence for the evolution of Chinese Charachter , being founded in Qin Dynasty and suffered from wars ,and later preserved in Beijing from Yuan Dynasty. The special patterns in them are actual the old Chinese Characters, and if one looks into it in detail ,one can find they are similar to the one nowtime. When I am standing there, observing the extraordinary masterpieces,I give a sigh :"aren‘t The destiny of our Chinese people similar to the stone drums?".Although we suffered a lot ,but we Chinese people are perserverant, and finally we survive and flourish.
