A dedicated
fifachampion training workshop for integrity officers from FIFA member associations across Asia took place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 16-19 March 2015. The initiative is part of the FIFA-INTERPOL campaign against match fixing. This special fact-finders’ course, conducted in collaboration with the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), is designed to prepare integrity officers tasked with establishing the facts and investigating reports of match manipulation in the world of football.
The comprehensive training initiative has been developed in response to the current issues faced by the international football community. It focuses on the best methods to investigate allegations of match manipulation and aims to build on the national capacity www.fifachampion.com of FIFA’s member associations to carry out effective inquiries whilst also enabling a coordinated and comprehensive response to suspicious incidents of potential match manipulation.
