Difference between Audience and Access while creating reports or Saved Search

In reports or saved search, care needs to be given whether the access to a custom report should be given through 'Audience' or 'Access' sub-tab. Providing it through 'Audience' sub-tab will make sure the report access is restricted to only those users who have access to the standard report on which the custom report is based - hence respecting the permissions set up at the role/global permissions. But giving access to through 'Access' sub-tab may increase the risk of incorrect access.

在报表或者保存的搜索中，需要注意是否使用“观众”或者“访问权限”子标签来赋予权限。使用“观众”子标签赋予权限，可以确保报表的权限被限制在这样的用户，他们有权限访问自定义报表来自的标准报表。因此会遵守在角色或者全局权限中设置的权限。但是通过“访问权限”子标签来赋予权限可能会增加权限错误的风险。

定义观众

限制访问权限到特定观众成员：

• 到观众子标签
• 选择观众限制，便于维护
  • 例如：选择角色，而不是单个员工
  • 注意：请记住，如果你选择了角色和部门，那么用户必须有那个角色，并被分配到这个部门。

用户必须有对记录类型和相关数据的访问权限，才可以访问保存的搜索。

决定观众是否可以编辑搜索：

• 选中允许观众编辑
  • 用户可以修改保存的搜索，并保存为相同名称，也就是说覆盖此搜索。
• 不选中允许观众编辑
  • 用户可以修改保存的搜索，但必须保存为新的名称，也就是说不能覆盖此搜索。
