1. A North Carolina pastor and Redskins fan was visiting Washington for his daughter's volleyball tournament and saw Haslett, the Washington defensive coordinator, at a hotel restaurant. He approached Haslett, talked with him for five minutes . and a few days later posted this blog on the web site Hog Haven.

From their conversation, pastor Rod Denny related how Haslett said (a) the Redskins weren't that interested in Matt Flynn, (b) wanted Peyton Manning and (c) were trying to trade up to get Robert Griffin III.

"If that were me and I found out some guy had put it out on the airwaves, I would probably deny it too," Denny told Washington Post columnist Mike Wise. "Basically all it was was two guys talking football, and I really had no idea that it would be this big."

The Dolphins implications here? Well, it seems the Redskins have the same first thought they do if you believe this actually is the Redskins plan. The Dolphins are going first after Manning. They would love to trade up for RGIII, but it's probably not within their reach since Cleveland and Washington have the same thoughts and better chips to play.

Matt Flynn? Again, Joe Philbin knows him better than anyone. Maybe he's the guy the Dolphins end up getting. And maybe the Redskins won't be competition.

I wish the pastor had asked Haslett about Ryan Tannehill.

I caddie for Shanahan in Northen CA every year. 1 month ago I asked him about Flynn(typical mike no response), later I was raving about RG3 and he was making fun of me. The last thing he said to me was keep my eye on Tannehill. I have seen mike for 6 straight years and in my opinion is not very good at evaluating talent. The dumb ass will draft Tannehill guaranteed!
