The Soft Coded Key Flexfield was recompiled, which resolved the above error messages, but was still unable to assign employees to a payroll. New error received was APP-PAY-50001: You must enter GRE details for the assignment.
Cause
The profile option: Flexfields: Open Key Window was set to 'Yes' at the Responsibility level only. This still does not allow access to the "GRE and other Data" tab.
Solution
If the profile option 'Flexfield: Open Key Window' value has a default value of 'No' at the site level and the user value is null, then the Key flexfield doesn't open by itself when the cursor is placed in the key flexfield. Ctl-L must be pressed to open the Key flex window.
To avoid having to press Ctl-L to open the flexfield, set the profile 'Flexfield: Open Key Window' value to 'Yes' for the user value by following the steps below: 1. Logon to applications 2. Select HRMS responsibility. 3. Form. the menu, navigate Edit > Preferences > profiles. 4. Query for the profile name 'Flexfields%Open%Key%Window' 5. For this profile, enter user value as 'Yes' and save the record. 6. Now, create an Employee and navigate to the assignment form. 7. In the Statutory Info tab, click on the statutory info field.
