"The chiptune artist will provide a retro soundtrack for White Rock. Official Press Release | March 17, 2008 Finally, we have some exciting information about Nokia Games Publishing's secret Project White Rock! Renowned chiptune artist 8 Bit Weapon will be creating a custom retro soundtrack for Senior Producer Scott Foe's latest endeavor that will take players back to their gaming roots. Founded in 2000, Los Angeles-based 8 Bit Weapon derives its unique sound by employing vintage game machines and consoles as instruments, a genre known as ""chiptunes."" 8 Bit Weapon has earned rave reviews from Los Angeles Times, GamePro and IGN Network. Live performances include G4's ""Attack of the Show"", E3 Expo and international tours since 2002. Though 8 Bit Weapon created the soundtrack for Xbox's exclusive Halo 2 preview event, White Rock will be the first full videogame to be scored by the band. Produced by Nokia Games Publishing, the closely-guarded Project White Rock is being developed by RedLynx, best known for the award-winning High Seize. Pocket Gamer, the largest site dedicated to handheld gaming, picked White Rock as the number one Nokia-produced game in 2008 and The Guardian called the title one of the ""most promising"" of 2008. Scott Foe, the game's producer and concept designer, has been noted by Edge Magazine as one of the talents that will change the face of gaming and his previous title Pocket Kingdom was a GameSpy Game of the Year and one of The Escapist's top ten portable games. White Rock will be the highest production value mobile game ever created, as well as a true multiplatform. title with seamless integration of PC and mobile multiplayer. The philosophy behind the game is simple: It's all for the love of gaming. ""8 Bit Weapon is helping us to welcome you back to the playground of your youth,"" said Foe of Nokia.
""The sound is pure nostalgia, like the first time you ever rescued a princess."" ""Scott made a dream come true for me when he asked me to score a game,"" said Sternberger of 8 Bit Weapon. ""But for it to be this game: Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that I would get to work on something like Project White Rock."" Fans can find the 8 Bit Weapon track ""2D Died"", inspired by White Rock, at ForTheLoveOfGaming.com along with other related assets at Media.ForTheLoveOfGaming.com. " "I'm delighted to see more warriors in the guild, both those arriving from elsewhere AND those who are getting leveled up to 58+ where end-game is in sight. Over the past few months TG has gone from virtually no warriors at level 60 to virtually ""full"". I couldn't be happier! Now because of my advanced age and tenure as...well, I'm gonna share some thoughts with you anway! First, Phantom...I hate you ...actually I don't, but gimme a break...last night Phantom was a guest with Reverent for the purpose of getting his Quel'Serrar tempered by Onyxia, the [Helm of Wrath]dropped. Since all their warriors already had it, he was the only roller...UNFAIR!!!! Seriously, gratz! Two epics in one run...wowzer! That leads me to my thought for the day...and that is gearing up for end-game. wow gold The typical warrior armor path leads to the Valor set and then beyond...+defense gear for tanking, +hit/crit gear for DPS and FR gear for all. Reaching level 60 is a huge achievement, but it only starts the gear upgrade game all over again. I want to encourage all warriors to go after their gear. wow gold Do some research, figure out who drops what (Research here...http://69.41.171.43/index.htm) and make runs or quests to get what you want. Better gear makes it easier on the healers to keep you up and is critical for the MT role.
The key thing, though, is that most of your gear upgrades are blue drops that aren't found in ZG or AQ or MC. wow gold They come from quests (e.g. [Ornate Adamantium Breastplate]or from UBRS/LBRS/Strat/Scholo/Dire Maul...heck, even BRD. Most items are BOP so you can't buy them. buy wow gold This means you'll be busy, since we need warriors for raiding, but you need the gear from instancing. Thinking out loud...with a guild roster of 8 or so warriors who are active, not all should be MT/Protection-specc'd IMO. We need 'bout half who are and the rest DPS oriented with Arms/Fury spec of choice, provided they have some ability to step in with sword-and-board if needed when MT's go down. mp3 players I don't want to tell you how to spec, but having 15 points in protection buys a lot of tanking goodness. I'd welcome warrior input and discussion, particularly from our newer guild-mates. wow gold What do you think. What does your experience suggest. "
