Leo:
send you a good article at http://www.ganssle.com/articles.htm
Tie:
Since you are not a researcher, I think you should get more experience rather than read more documents
Leo:
perhaps, you are right.could you tell much about your opinion about how to richen my experience
Tie:
There is only one way, keep on working
Leo:
Actually,you tells nothing.
Tie:
nothing means everything
Leo:
nonsense, tell something meaningful and useful
Leo:
but what am I supposed to do when there is no project for me
Tie:
Try to find project
Leo:
where and how to find? from bbs or friends?
Tie:
Talking is nonsense
Leo:
faint
Tie:
come on
Tie:
guy, you have a long road to go
Leo:
perhaps, you will suggest that I'd jump ship to find projects?
Tie:
no
Tie:
I won't give you any suggestion
Tie:
everybody has his own idea
Leo:
there's always a shortcut to everything. however,I was worrying about whether I've got it to embedded system.Don't hesitate to give your tips about how to richen my project experience
Tie:
make no sense
Leo:
I mean what should I do to richen my project experience
Tie:
leo,it's not right time for you to summarize your career
Tie:
you should get more things to do
Tie:
maybe you can look back yourself serveral years later
Tie:
you should ask your manager to get more opportunity
Tie:
not asking me,
Tie:
I am not your boss
Leo :
you are right, I feel you have something special that I don't have.
Tie:
just like my apartment?
Tie:
that's for sure. you have been a rich man with two big apartments,I admire you.
Tie:
haha
Tie:
keep on working hard, you will own one!
Leo:
opportunity won't knock the door by itself.what's you opinion about what if I bought a demo board to learn something new when I have no project presently?
Tie:
no
Tie:
I don't think it's a right way for you
Leo:
go on
Tie:
if you are not busy at your working, then I don't think it's a right job for you.
Tie:
make yourself busy
Leo:
reading books or?
Tie:
Say it again, you are not a researcher!
Leo:
you mean I should ask for projects, that's the only thing to do,right?
Tie:
not the only way, but I think it's a right, or you can find project by yourself
Tie:
what's your long-term goal and your short-term goal?
Leo:
long tem is to know more about DSP related skills in term of embedded system
Tie:
know more? Then what's more is enough?
Tie:
you are still confused
Leo:
short term is to read terminal firmware code, but with hard time
Tie:
OK, enjoy your work
Leo:
because my background about DSP related is not strong,so I want to seize the oppotunity of learning low-level things during the course of reading firmware code
Tie:
OK,that's great for you
Leo:
it's not for sure whether I will maintain the terminal firmware, but I think I am supposed to try hard to get it with your suggestions.
Tie:
Well, Mr. Leo, if you want to continue your career at this company for a long while, you should know more about it besides project.
If you maintain the firmware of the terminal, I don't think you have something to talk to your furture employer(that's my lesson from my job found recently), what they so-called firmware doesn't only belong to the dsp field, neither belong to any protocol
Tie:
you don't know anything about codec, know nothing about the dsp operation, the performance optimization,
Tie:
and also the architecture is quiet simple
Tie:
so if your responsibilty and interest is all about this, I recommend you to ask more project.
Tie:
you can ask for transfer to the Base department
Tie:
or do something more fashion in the field, just like the project in the small room
Leo:
very good suggestions.
Tie:
they are easy to earn a good job recently
Tie:
as a loser here, that's my words
Tie:
As you konw, I will have to leave this company in few days, I've learned much more here, not about the technique, but about the chaos management
Leo:
chaos! yes,I have to admit.
Tie:
So,you should think more about yourself
Tie:
What kind of job do you prefer
Leo:
device driver or something low level about DSP and MCU
Tie:
Keep on improving your English ability
Tie:
And try to join a foreign company
Tie:
That's my suggestion
Leo:
with little experience and confidence, I am afraid I can't deal very well with DSP related stuff.what's worse , there's no opptunity for me to do that in our group.
Leo:
I'm actually in dilemma,
Leo:
alse confused whether and when to leave this company too
Tie:
I have no choice now
Tie:
I have to leave company in few days
Leo:
I know, you have been here for years but with litle chance for promotion
Tie:
it's not important now
Leo:
wish you luck, maybe sometime, when you own your company, I can work for you
Leo:
the man who is hard to defeat is himself
Tie:
wow,you are a super philosopher!
Tie:
haha
Leo:
and the man who comfort himself most is also himself.
Leo:
you are something. the second man I appreciate much in the company, the first one is Mr.he
Tie:
no, you should admire your boss
Leo:
which one, is zheng? he's the third one
It's a good conversation, thinks for your tips and guidelines.
