Web2.0中的产品目前看来颇有希望的很可能是视频了,根据艾瑞市场咨询调查,2006年已经成为中国网络视频产业元年,由于受到Google收购Youtube的影响,大量的视频网站诞生。据其预测,2010年该市场规模有望达到34亿元,未来几年的复合增长率约为60%。

 

网络视频大致可分视频分享和视频点播,对视频分享,我们早已不再陌生,优酷,酷6等网站已经成为渗透率很高的视频网站,至于视频点播,国内目前也已出现了好几家,例如PPlive,QVOD等,均呈现了非常迅猛的发展势头。

 

和视频分享有所不同,视频点播基于流媒体播放软件,从以往写程序的经验看来,一般情况下CS应用会比BS应用麻烦,但功能更强大,更人性化,从视频点播和视频分享的比较来看也是如此,基于客户端的视频点播软件大大增加了用户的自主性。

 

毫无疑问,视频点播也会是未来视频发展的一股中坚力量,目前国内也出现过多款视频点播软件,例如PPLive,PPStream等等。之前我只用过PPLive,最近一位朋友给我介绍了一款新的视频点播软件------QVOD,初看觉得和PPLive等似乎并无区别,后来逐渐感觉到这款软件和其他竞争对手相比更增添了一些人性化的东西。

 

先来看看这款软件和PPLive的区别。PPLive等软件的播放列表是既定的,用户无法改变,只能从中选择,此其一。其二,用户若想欣赏某一电影,运气好,或许能看到开头,运气不好连结尾都看不了。然而QVOD则全面融入了BT的概念,任何人想看某部电影都可以去下载相关视频源,点开即可从头至尾全面观赏,其操作方法和BT软件完全相同。不难看出,QVOD相较PPLive融入了更多个性化的,人性化的理念,QVOD官方网站显示其下载量已经突破四千万次。互联网发展历来表明,越贴近用户心里诉求的产品是越受欢迎的产品。

 

最关键的是,这将大大促进视频点播和个人网站的发展。以往传统的PPLive,PPStream等软件均是单方面设定视频内容,对外并无开放性。然而QVOD的理念表明,他并不满足于做一家视频点播,而是要做一个广泛的联盟,让视频点播的产品遍布互联网的各个角落,同时要让广大的个人网站与之一起分享视频行业这块大蛋糕。

 

所以,对个人网站而言,这绝对是一款“雪中送炭”的产品。随着Web2.0的发展,视频已经极大的关乎到了一个网站的长远发展。中国有很多个人网站,如果要他们自己去开发视频产品显然不可能。但传统的视频分享和视频点播不具备普遍性,这使得广大的草根个人网站对视频“可望而不可及”,其实这已经大大阻碍了视频行业的发展与成熟。毕竟,视频行业这么大,并非几个视频分享网站和视频点播软件就能全部支撑的。

 

而作为QVOD来讲,他可以将视频源投放至广大的个人网站。个人网站不费吹灰之力就能获得视频应用,这对充实其视频内容是个非常廉价而凑效的办法。另一方面,QVOD也可以获得更多的用户群。所以,QVOD和广大的个人网站合作,这绝对是个双赢的战略。

 

在此,我想到了阿里巴巴马云经常提倡的一个理念------阿里巴巴要先让众多的网商得到好处阿里巴巴才能得到好处,因为只有联合众多的网商才能促进电子商务发展。同理,QVOD的开放性使得它能很融洽的和广大的个人站长展开合作,让个人网站与之一道分享视频行业高速发展的成果,这不但会进一步促进视频行业发展,更会开辟个人网站的新局面。

I consider that the most hopeful product of Web2.0 will be video. On the grounds of Iresearch Market Advisory, year 2006 is the first year of Chinese Network video. Under the influence of Google bought Youtube at a high price, many video websites rised. The scale of market will reach 2.4 billion. In the future, the complex growth rate will reach 60 percent.

 

Network video can be divided into two parts, one is Video Sharing, the other is video-on-demand. we won’t be blind to Video Sharing. Youku and Ku6 are becoming the most popular video website. For video-on-demand, there are some joiner including PPlive, QVOD and so on. They have shown swift and volient tendency of development.

 

The difference is that video-on-demand is based on streaming media software. From the experience of software engineer, CS application is more troublesome than BS application. But it is more powerful, more humanization. The difference between video-on-demand and Video Sharing is so, the software increase the independence for users.

 

So clear, video-on-demand will be the most import force for Network Video development. Now, there are some video-on-demand software for example PPLive and PPStream. At last I just take use of PPLive. Recently one friend recommended a new one to me ------ QVOD. At first, I think there is no difference between PPLive and QVOD. Then I feel that there are more humanization design comparing with other competitors.

 

Now let’s pay attention to the difference between QVOD and PPLive.

First the list of PPLive is fixed and users can’t change it. Second, if users want to enjoy one movie. It is lucky to enjoy it from the beginning and it is unlucky to enjoy it from the end. However, QVOD takes in the concept of BT. Anyone who want to enjoy the movie can download the resource files to enjoy the movies from the beginning to the end. The operation is just the same as BT software. It is so easy to see that QVOD is of more individuality. The software has been downloaded more than 4000 0000 times. The development of internet shows that the product which is more close to the need of users will be more popular.

 

What is more critical is it will greatly promote the development of video-on-demand and personal website. PPLive and PPStream and other tranditional software are just unilateral. But the concept of QVOD shows that it is not complacent about being one video-on-demand, but one extensive union. That will make the product be all over the world. At the same time, that will lead so many personal websites to share the big cake of video industry.

 

So, for the personal websites, this can be timely assitence. Under the development of Web2.0, video cares so much for the future development for one website. There are so many personal websites in china. But it is difficult for them to develop the software by themselves. But tranditional Video Sharing and video-on-demand are not prevalent for personal websites. That has block the development and mature of the industry. After all, the industry is so large, not the several websites can hold all the market.

 

For QVOD, it can put the video source files in the personal websites. They will pay no energy to get the video application. This is a cheap and useful way for them to enrich their content. Second, QVOD can obtain master more users. So, QVOD can cooperate with other personal websites. This is one win-win deal.

 

Then I reflected the concept what Jack Ma often metioned. Alibaba should make the E-business men gain profit then Alibaba can gain profit.

 

Because just cooperate with the E-business men, it can urge the development of E-business. The same theory is that the openness of QVOD make it can be available to cooperate with Personal Websites and let them share the achievement of Video industry. That can not noly urge the development of Video industry but also start the new situation of Personal Websites.
