wireless network on ubuntu 9.04

wireless network settings

I just installed ubuntu 9.04 on my laptop,but it can't connect my wireless network.

However the ubuntu 7.04 which I installed yesterday can connect my wireless network.

I can't believe the higher version is worse than the lower.

I opened system/preferences/Net work Connections, but I can't find my wireless network.

At last,I found the icon on status bar , and clicked the left mouse key and found my wireless network.

Selected the radio button and inputed my password.

Now it works.
