0. The parameter defined in a function can be regarded as a local variable that can be only effectively referenced within the function's local scope. When a funciton call happens, the parameters of the function are assgined values represented by the arguments given in the function call.

1. In a function defintion, all formal parameters (parameters other that are not prepended by an * or ** mark) are treated as "positional-or-keyword" parameters. This means that a function call can pass either a positional argument or a keyword argument to the formal paramenters. A formal parameter with a defalut value given is a keywork parameter and it becomes a positional parameter otherwise.
