At one o’clock in the morning, the vicar was woken up by the church clock as it struck for thirteen times.
He saw Bill Wilkins, the local grocer, there, and Bill explained he was trying to repair the clock but hadn’t succeeded because at one o’clock it struck thirteen time.
However The vicar was pleased the bell was working and offered the grocer a cup of tea.
Our vicar was suddenly woken up by the strikes of the church clock. It was one o’clock in the night but the clock struck for thirteen times.
He went to up into the clock tower with a torch and saw Bill Wilkins, our local grocer. Bill Wilkins said that he was trying to repair the clock. Thought he did not succeed in repairing the clock, the vicar was pleased and he invited him to have a cup of coffee.

It was the last day of this year. At a small village, people were gathering under the clock of the church. It was fifteen minutes to twelve when the church clock suddenly stopped and no one could explain why.
The vicar climbed into the clock tower with a torch. With a great difficulty he arrived and found that the clock had been invaded by bees. There were full of honey and wax inside the clock. There were also a lot of bees in it, If anyone tried to clean the clock, the bees would attack him.

A bee keeper was called by the vicar. After finding the queen bee, he removed it out of the clock tower and the others bees followed the queen bee flying out of the wax. The vicar immediately had the clock cleaned. It worked again and people burst out cheer.
