背景资料：
《Alpha Girl: Understanding the New American Girl and How She Is Changing the World》这本书中指出，美国约有20%的女生感受不到自己是“女性”，他们在社会上的活动从未因自己是女性而受到限制，彻底打破了女人在社会上生活处于不利地位的传统社会观念。据作者分析，这是由于男女平等思想普及后，这些少女是在完全平等的环境中长大，因而出现了“Alpha Girl”。80年代以后出生的女性，这种现象较为突出。
相比日本，韩国Alpha Girl 在中国所占的比例应该大一些。过去很多人认为，法律、科学技术、工程建筑等领域是完全属于男人的，如今，这一传统观念早已被打破。
