As I'm currently studying towards my Citrix CertifiedAdministrator XenApp 5.0 Certification.

I thought I would share you can can get Citrix XenApp 5.0 Downloaded &Installed under a Developer License for free for 1 Year (should be long enoughfor most of us to pass our exams).

To do this, first of all you need to signup to My Citrix Account this is free.

Citrix XenApp 5.0 Download

1. Login to My Citrix
2. Select Downloads
3. Select Switch Product - XenApp
4. Scroll down and you will see a section called XenApp5.0 > Select DVDImage for Windows Server 2008 (All Editions)

To install Citrix XenApp 5.0 onto Windows Server 2008 follow the Citrix XenApp 5.0 Installation Guide

Free 1 Year Developer License for Citrix XenApp 5.0

1. Login to My Citrix
2. Select Toolbox > Product Previews / Beta Releases - License Retrieval
3. Select Presentation Server Dev. Edition
4. Select Licence Code & Hit Continue

After this it should be pretty straight forward.
