add this parameter

 

-Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote

-Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.port=8003

-Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.authenticate=false

-Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.ssl=false

 

 

Performance penalties

According to this post, there is only performance penalty when jconsole Connects to the server, around 3-5%.

Other times, no impact.
