201208201PM-How to generate BCs for Deduction Developer DF

If you hit "Deduction Developer DF" deployment issue on DIT, for example, deployment successfully completed but seed data changes not reflected to UI, you can try this workaround on jdev.

1) Place the attached
DeductionDeveloperDFGenerator.java to anywhere. For example, place this to

$ADE_VIEW_ROOT/fusionapps/hcm/components/hcmPayroll/payrolls/deductions/personalRecords/protectedUiModel/src/oracle/apps/hcm/payrolls/deductions/personalRecords/flex/DeductionDeveloperDFGenerator.java

2) Check-out the following files.

ade co $HCMPAYROLL/payrolls/deductions/personalRecords/protectedUiModel/src/oracle/apps/hcm/payrolls/deductions/personalRecords/flex/deductionDeveloperDfFlex -recursive -nc
ade co $HCMPAYROLL/payrolls/deductions/personalRecords/protectedUiModel/src/persdef/oracle/apps/hcm/payrolls/deductions/personalRecords/protectedModel/entity/DIRComponentDetailDEO* -nc

3) Start jdev, and select the following projects in HcmPayroll.jws via "Manage Working Sets".

$ADE_VIEW_ROOT/fusionapps/hcm/components/hcmPayroll/payrolls/deductions/personalRecords/protectedUiModel/HcmPayDeductionPersonRecsProtectedUiModel.jpr
$ADE_VIEW_ROOT/fusionapps/hcm/components/hcmPayroll/payrolls/deductions/personalRecords/publicUiInternal/HcmPayDeductionPersonRecsPublicUiInternal.jpr

Then check "Run" - "Use Current Working Set".

4) You can see DeductionDeveloperDFGenerator.java in protectelUiModel. Modify the DB connection in this java if required, then run on jdev (Right-click and run, or CTRL+F11). This will generate static VOs in above directory, and apply the necessary changes to above EO. If there are invalid seed data for "Deduction Developer DF" flexfield, this will fail.

5) Rebuild this protectedUiModel jar.

6) Find DeductionRecords.jspx in protectedUiInternal, and Run. Remember to load the following ldift before running.

$ADE_VIEW_ROOT/fatools/global/ldap/WLS_Users_and_Groups.ldift

When Deploy it to DIT:

7)Deploy the protectedUiModel.jar

8)Copy the jar file to the ear's unzip path :  $MW_HOME_STANDALONE/user_projects/domains/featb/servers/AdminServer/upload/HcmPayrollApp/V2.0/app/HcmPayrollApp/APP-INF/lib.  No need to redeploy the ear file.

9) Restart the Standalone WLS:

// start standalone WLS
cd $MW_HOME_STANDALONE/user_projects/domains/feat/ ./startWebLogic.sh > /tmp/feat_wls.log &  
// stop
cd $MW_HOME_STANDALONE/user_projects/domains/feat/ ./bin/stopWebLogic.sh
