市场竞争？

首推：Ubuntu  （LTS）官方默认桌面版本的生命周期是 5年了？个人免费版 5台机器限制可达 10年；收费版支持可长达 10年。

跟着，Debian 也有了（LTS）版本，包含官方支持所有的桌面版本，也是 5年了？收费版支持可长达 10年。

现在 Ubuntu 剩下的明显优势，只是嵌入式版本？

Ubuntu 虽然也不错，但就是讨厌动不动就禁止、屏蔽这个地方，或那个地方的使用、升级补丁服务？

办公：使用 debian KDE版本，似乎也是不错的选择 ？

免费支持长达 5年，普通办公用途，应该足够了吧？都 5年了，那些办公 app也应该升级一下了吧？

主要区别：

• Ubuntu 有专门针对嵌入式、lot 物联网版本；而 debian 没有。
  这意味着：在嵌入式、lot 物联网应用场景，应该选择 Ubuntu。
   
• 在只是办公，以及服务器场景，可以选择的桌面环境，就有许多了。就而者而言，选择优先 debian。
   
• ubuntu 官方默认桌面，收费时可支持长达 10年；免费 5年，与 debian 一样。问题是：官方默认桌面比 kde,xface难用，且比 kde 的 bug多 ？
  在同一 Ubuntu上安装多个桌面环境：在 Ubuntu 官方默认桌面，出现 .desktop文件 Enble "Allow Launching" 错误，难解决；直接切换到 KDE桌面后，正常了。

桌面布局风格：

KDE桌面类似 windows，普通办公吧？

xface、ubuntu 官方默认桌面布局的风格，似乎更适合于 编程工作 ？简洁程序菜单可以设置在两侧，而良好的编程源码宽度一般有限制，而高度高些更顺眼？

KDE 默认是底边菜单，Ubuntu官方默认是左侧菜单。并不是说 KDE 的底边菜单不可以设置成左侧菜单， Ubuntu 官方默认底边菜单不可以设置成底边菜单。
问题是：由于它们设计的基础理念不同，将 KDE默认的底边菜单设置成左侧菜单后，看起来很别扭；反之一样。
