Licensing

The phoneME project code is released under the GNU General Public License Version 2 (GPLv2). Before downloading phoneME software, you should become familiar with the GNU General Public License Version 2 (GPLv2).

Please note: phoneME software may contain crypto binaries/source. Certain countries restrict the redistribution of high key-strength crypto. If you live in one of these countries, it is your responsibility to ensure that you are complying with your country's laws in this area.

Release Definitions

 
Development Release -- Includes the latest features that are in development.  Development Release builds have passed a minimum level of smoke testing.

Milestone Release -- All features for the release are present and functionality is complete.  There are no known critical bugs that prevent the proper operation of the release.

phoneME Feature Downloads

 
The phoneME Feature software includes the latest milestone and development implementations of CLDC and MIDP, as well as implementations of a number of optional package JSRs.  The latest code is available in the phoneME code repository.

phoneME Feature MR2 Downloads

Below you will find early development builds and source bundles for phoneME Feature MR2.   MR2 includes implementations of CLDC 1.1, MIDP 2.1, and a number of optional package JSRs.  As development continues, we will add additional functionality to MR2. Before you begin, please read the phoneME Feature MR2 Release Information.  The MR2 Getting Started Guide is not yet available, but you can refer to the  phoneME Feature MR1 Getting Started Guide for useful information.  Each release bundle contains Release Notes, plus a README file that will provide you with additional information for that particular bundle.

phoneME Feature MR1 software includes implementations of CLDC 1.1, MIDP 2.0, and a number of optional package JSR.  phoneME Feature MR1 also supports multitasking – the ability to run multiple MIDlets simultaneously. Before you begin, please read the phoneME Feature MR1 Release Information and Getting Started Guide.  Each bundle contains Release Notes, plus a README file that will provide you with additional information for that particular bundle. Please note: the download bundles include additional components that could not be made available in the java.net repository at this time.
