A: What are you doing in the kitchen?

   你在厨房里做什么？

 

B ： I was thinking of cooking dinner tonight. Any ideas or suggestions about what I should make?

   我在想该做什么晚饭。有什么想法和建议吗？

 

A ： What about roast chicken? Or Chinese food?

   做烤鸡怎么样，或者做中国菜？

 

B ： I could go for Chinese food.

   我想吃中餐。

 

A ： All right. Do we need to get anything?

   好吧。我们还需要买些什么？

 

B ： I’m making a shopping list right now. What kind of vegetables would you like?

   我在列购物单。你喜欢吃什么蔬菜？

 

A ： How about cabbage and potatoes?

   洋白菜和土豆怎么样？

 

B ： Sounds good. In that case, let’s get some pork, some cabbage, and a bag of potatoes.

   可以。这样的话，我们要买一些猪肉，洋白菜和一袋土豆。

 

A ： And what about dessert?

   要买什么甜品吗？

 

B ： Why don’t we have ice cream?

   干吗不买点冰淇淋？

 

A ： Mmmm — sounds delicious. What kind of ice cream?

B: How about chocolate?

   巧克力的怎么样？

 

A ： Great!

   太好了！

 

B: I don’t have much cash left. I’ll have to stop by the bank before I go to the supermarket. It might take me a while.

A ： Take your time. We can eat later tonight.

   不用着急。我们可以晚点吃。
