Note: as my ubuntu system doesn’t install a Chinese input software so that it’s written in English, translate it if you can’t read.
You may encoutered a problem on laptop with Ubuntu 18.04 or above, the right click button doesn’t work on touchpad. But it’s not a bug of your laptop or ubuntu, It’s just a default setting. It means on Ubuntu 18.04 or above, if you want to make a right click(on touchpad) event, you should click the touchpad(everywhere in touchpad is ok not only in bottom-right area) with 2 fingers at same time.
Alternatively, you can change it by downloading a software tool, the Tweaks app. Here is the command to download it:
sudo apt install gnome-tweaks
After downloaded it, Press the Super/Win Key on keyboard, the laptop will show you a search tool, then input Tweaks, and open the Tweaks application. As the pic shows:
