Description :	Application Software Development Engineer STRATEGIC OBJECTIVE To be part of a dynamic and performance driven team develop and test a series of high quality applications for new handheld products. DESCRIPTION Agilent has an exciting opportunity in software development for instrumentation application in China Communication Operation in Beijing. The SW Engineers will be responsible for working as part of the R&D team and our corporate partners to develop a high-quality, flexible, and development efficient software products. Specific accountabilities include: • Definition and development of application software for our products. • Work with project development teams in other countries. • Deliver market dominating and high-quality products • Leverage of existing software. • Proactively collaborate with internal development partners to increase the productivity and efficiency of the R&D team where possible. • A peaked customer focus and understanding of how our New Product Introduction will win in the market place • Partner with project management to ensure NPI's achieve quality, cost, and schedule goals • Strive to improve efficiency and effectiveness in software design o Productivity improvements o Quality improvements o Architectural and technological improvements • Ensure our ability to develop world class software o Maximizes reuse of Agilent's software assets. o Utilization of small frame & compact processing engines o Develop customer applications which differentiate and increase our revenue and gross margin o Proactively measure and improve software quality o Responsiveness o Accurately estimate, scope, and execute on schedule
Qualifications :	Qualifications: • MS on electronic engineering, computer science, or relevant field. • Balanced knowledge and experience on software development and electronic engineering/wireless communication • Two years or above technical experience on successfully deliver software products/solutions to market • Very strong software re-use & leverage capability • Lean Software Development Practices • Solid software quality assurance experience and strong software test skills • Experience on solving working issues relating to different computing engines - especially tuning software to work efficiently with less resources (CPU, Memory) • Good experience on Windows based SW Development (CE & XP) - Dev.
