Change the access mode of the file

primarily usage:

chmod who=|-|+permissions filename

= : Give

who:

u: Owner of the file(means you)

g: group

o: others

a: u+g+o

permisssion:

r: read

w: write&delete

x: execute; search if filename is dir

Note:

No blanks around the equal sign.

Copying permission

chmod ug=g archive.sh

Set UID:

chmod u+s summarize

You are now user steve(owner) for as long as this program runs

Number:

1,write permission like:

     rwx r-x r--

2,  111 101 100

3,    7     5     4

4,chmod 754 filename
