the x32 ODBC driver for eXtremeDB

Please do thefollowing on your Windows system first (we will address Linux issues after wehave you running on Windows 7):

- Assure that theinstalled eXtremeDB eval package is for Windows x64 (for x64 applications).

- Run application'C:\Windows\System32\odbcad32.exe'. This is the ODBC administrator for the x64drivers. [Or 'C:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe' for

x32 applications]

- On tab 'UserDSN' check the presence of the data source 'xsql64_dsn'. [Or 'xsql_dsn' for x32application]

- If it is absentpress the 'Add' button and create a new data source using the eXtremeDB ODBCx64 driver. Leave the default settings: server - localhost and port 5001.

- Settings of thedata source may be checked or changed by pressing button 'Configure'.

- On tab'Tracing', enable this function. Remember the path to log file.

- Open a 'cmd'console window and go to the directory 'C:\…\eXtremeDB\win64vs2012\target\bin'(use the correct path for your installation).

- Run the command'xsqlcmd.exe -i -size 100M -p 5001'. This creates an empty In-Memory databasewith size 100 Megabytes and additionally it starts an SQL server on port 5001.

- For a test, type'select * from Metatable;' in the xsqcmd application. It will print an emptydatabase schema.

- Run the user'sapplication and try to connect the data source 'xsql64_dsn'. [Or 'xsql_dsn' forx32 application]

- It willdefinitely fail. Please send us the log file specified on the tab 'Tracing' inapplication 'C:\Windows\System32\odbcad32.exe'. [Or 'C:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe'for x32 application]

- Type 'select *from Metatable;' in the xsqcmd application again. This will show if user'sapplication was able to create a database table.
