Error in DB connect for DB2, DB4 and MS-SQL-Server

Symptom

After you import SAP NetWeaver Support Package 11 (SAPKW70014) or after you implement the preliminary correction contained in Note 992865, a loading process or a direct access through DB connect terminates with an error message, such as "unkown error occured when uploading data from the DB table" (message number RSDS_ACCESS 207).

Reason and Prerequisites

The problem only occurs when you extract data from database platforms IBM DB2, IBM DB4 and MS-SQL-Server.

Solution

• SAP NetWeaver 7.0 BI

            Import Support Package 14 for SAP NetWeaver 7.0 BI (BI Patch 14 or SAPKW70014) into your BI system. The Support Package is available once Note 991094 "SAPBINews BI 7.0 Support Package 14", which describes this Support Package in more detail, has been released for customers.

In urgent cases, you can implement the correction instructions as an advance correction.

You must first read Note 875986, which provides information about transaction SNOTE.

To provide information in advance, the notes mentioned above may already be available before the Support Package is released. In this case, the short text of the note still contains the words "Preliminary version".
