And tonight's "What the Hell were you thinking" award goes to — R. Kelly.

I just caught his new video I Wish on the TV. What's up with this guy? One minute he's singing about how he believes he can fly and makes a duet with Celine Dion (CELINE DION, for the love of god...) and then he'll turn around, get some ghetto dreadlock hair and make a twenty minute music videos with bad acting to boot. Here's a scene from previously mentioned video:

R. Kelly is at a cemetary in some kind of pimp suit. R looks up in sky, clasps his hands in prayer and falls to his knees. Sounds of thunder as we cut to a shot of R. Kelly, walking on the roof of some building, wear his ghetto-gear. R looks to the sky and hears his mama talkin to him.

"Oh, son. What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul?"

R takes off his glasses. "Oh, mama. It was that god awful You Remind Me of a Jeep song. I shoulda never recorded something so ghetto."

Okay, I made that last line up, but everything else is in the video, swear to god. And he married that 16-year old Aaliyah chick for a while, too. What a freak. No wonder he's so big in Germany.
