Sometimes, people communicate for objective information not for subjective information. Sometimes, subjective even emotional information is more important than the objective. However, not everyone could have the capability of speaking well and reading well. This leads one educational goal in school, that is the art of information transmitting in terms of different context and brains. Objective concepts need the people think about the concepts described by the speakers and writers critically.
Critical thinking means, at first, that every people must know the common sense that every one has different system of understanding and the understood systematic of concepts. To obtain the objective information, when people read and listen and represent the objective concepts subjectively, people must make sure that these concepts are not influenced and rebuilt by any subjective minds. However, not everyone can think clearly and have a powerful brain. This leads the need of critical thinking when people absorb and produce objective information. Second, critical thinking is based on the concepts, contracts, which are sets of standardized requirements, explained by lots of people. This standard needs more thinking even debating and long-term modifying for perfect. People could use these powerful concepts as soon as these them are standardized.
Concepts could be manipulated by people intently. But not all people are good at expressing and representing and explaining and absorbing concepts. This fact leads the defective concepts which would live in people’s brain for long term. So, critical thinking needs more continuing thinking committed by people in school or not. People should make sure that the concepts could capture the common reality not the individual mental representation.
Critical thinking means more writing symbol system to help people thinking the relationship among concepts clearly. For example, this leads the development of formal language symbol system or formal abstracting thinking needs the critical formal language symbol system. So, formal concepts and formal language are the most critical and people should enjoy this perfection. At least, formal language can express the concepts and their logical relation more critically than the nature language.
Nature language, such as Chinese characters, is complicated graphical representation of reality, which emphasize the binding of reality and symbols. However, this advantage of binding of reality and symbols tightly may lead the mind just believe in the symbols(symbols is reality). This technology cultivates a subconsciousness of absorbing reality directly with less thinking and rebuilding of mental imagines. Whereas when some people connect the visual and fictional with the symbols, the symbols would make other people believe the fictional and visual with less thinking. This is the disadvantage of Chinese characters.
In contrast to the non-graphic nature language symbols, the letter and word of Latin, have nothing, or less, to do with the reality and thing which the symbols try to describe and capture. When people read these words, he has to think and rebuild the reality in his mind. This technology cultivates a subconsciousness of thinking and rebuilding of reality.
The capability of capturing reality of symbols system is different and human should be careful about it, because this capability would influence the critical thinking and absorbing of reality. So, the symbols should play in an intellectual way to help think not to control the thinking. And people should go beyond the language even the vision captured by the eyes, thinking the reality critically.
In short, critical thinking is the process of concepts thinking, only the concepts which capture the reality are the perfect and persistent. People should believe in the concepts and make sure the concepts in brain could capture the reality, otherwise the brain containing the concepts.
