The Solution to "xxx is not in the sudoers file"

Problem:

A message occurs when a common user use sudo:

*** is not in the sudoers file. This incident will be reported.

Solution:

Add this user and its privileges to /etc/sudoers.

1.Switch to root user

$ su -

2.Add writing authority to /etc/sudoers

# chmod +w /etc/sudoers

3.Modify /etc/sudoers

# vim /etc/sudoers

Find the content

root  ALL=(ALL)  ALL

Attach this line

***  ALL=(ALL)  ALL

Save and quit.

4.Remove writing authority to /etc/sudoers

# chmod -w /etc/sudoers
