Study of Visual Studio - 1: How to get the remote branch of git under Team Explorer?

1 Something you must know

This course of study is based on:

• Visual Studio has been equipped on your pc (Whatever the version is);
• You must have Microsoft account and team explorer, eg., Azure DevOps;
  Assume that all is done, let’s go to the next step.

2 Clone the master branch

• Open Visual Studio and sign in your account;
• Manage your connections and select your team, then connect it. It’ll be in your team explorer sidebar;
• The first time you may be required to clone the master branch, just clone it to one new and empty folder;

3 Checkout your own branch

• Click the master branch, and select the “Manage Branches”;
• Find your own branch, and right click to select “Checkout”.
