Problem: “Error reading from the “xx.msi” file. Verify that the file exists and you have access to it”.
I’ve had two programs that would not install on my laptop with Windows 10, and gave the indicated error. I could not resolve the error by running “As Administrator”, logging in as Administrator, or turning off User Account Controls. It appears that the problem relates to the lenght of the path to the file. Both programs were in several “deep” sub-directorys on drive D. Once I moved the install programs to C:\temp, both programs installed without errors and are working fine.

Try adding “SYSTEM” group with full access in Folder’s security tab. It worked for me.
