国内如何申请到Twitter API

Tip:Twitter Developer Platform 申请只能申请一次，被拒后该账户就不能再申请了，一点要做好详细的准备再提交申请，网上的申请教程有的很坑，几句话就提交申请通过了，几率很小。

Twitter开发者平台的申请，记录三次申请后通过

Apply:Twitter developer tools选择：Student

重点是注册账户的信息以及申请理由的填写，也就是后面让你用英文回答的问题。

下面分享一下我申请三次后成功的经验。

0x00 第一次申请，被拒

第一次申请时间：2020年10月。第一次申请的理由写的比较简略，没有研究目的，当时只是想爬取Twitter的数据，算是对爬虫的练习，有API会更快更稳定的爬取Twitter数据，当然被拒后，后面也用网页爬虫的模式完成了，但是对性能来说有很大欠缺，能够爬取到的每日推文数量和单个用户推文爬取数量受限。

0x01 第二次申请 失败

第二次申请时间：2021年7月。因为研究的深入，确实需要对Twitter
API的使用，以及后面的研究也需要API支持，爬取大量的Twitter数据作为研究的基础支撑，对于Twitter开发者用户做了进一步研究攻略。

0x02 第三次申请 成功

第二次申请直接被拒绝，我感觉可能是因为Twitter注册手机号是国内的，我的居住地写的也是中国 🤐

• 重点：第三次我用的英国的手机号，填写的现居地英国（验证码，我使用了一个APP”亲爱的翻译官“。付费可以买一个临时的手机号可以接收验证码）当然注册使用的邮箱也要是Google邮箱。

0x03 申请内容填写：

Example 只是我申请理由的一部分，需要自己写自己的计划，越多越好。我是个英语废，大部分都是翻译软件翻译的，然后看看错误啥的，申请内容还是不要直接复制我的🤦‍♀️

• Q：In English ,please describe how you plan to use Twitter data and/or APIs.The more detailed the response ,the easier it is to review and approve.

  A:先说明你的身份，然后说一下你要研究的工作，最好能写的很详尽，流程以及如何使用twitter的内容，比如我写的是要对社交平台机器人对舆论影响的分析，提高twitter bot detection准确度，对舆情分析，这些工作最好不要涉及用户的隐私方面，对一些公开数据进行分析通过的可能性比较大。

  Example: I plan to build a platform to identify social robots on Twitter, and I need to learn and study the activities of social robots on Twitter. I want to try out the TABNET model and an improved LSTM model to test which one has better performance and accuracy. There will be further in-depth studies and more accurate models in the future. The operation strategy of social robots on Twitter platform has gradually developed and matured, and robots on Twitter are of high research value. Therefore, further research on them can analyze public opinions in advance, and identifying robots will also enable users to have a better experience

• Q：Are you planning to analyze Twitter data? yes

  A: 写一下使用的具体方法，比如要使用机器学习的一些方法进行分析，就详细写一下方法，表示twitter api对研究的重要性，以及你要做的工作是正向的，是有意义的，有研究价值的。

  Example: The functions include predicting the possible explosion point of hot spot events, predicting the direction of public opinion in a certain event, Netizens bias and so on. This all needs the support of twitter. I need to crawl the user’s tweet content through Twitter API to further analyze it. Twitter API can give me great help as the basis of my project. I hope to use the powerful functions of twitter API in my research, enrich my data set, and make my research more convincing and supportive.

• Q：Will you app use Tweet,Retweet,like,follow ,or Direct Message functionality?

  NO 后面的问题选择NO就可以，申请通过后权限是一样的。

0x04 后续

一般24h之内有邮件让你填写进一步计划，这部分应该就是人工审核了，那一般是快要通过了，只需要把之前的申请理由写的再丰富一点，使用的方法写的更加深入详细些，夸一下twitter API的强大，以及你使用的迫切需要。最后说一下你的研究成果的价值。

这是我第一次收到邮件后回的，后面还回了两次，表明了我的研究全部已经准备好了，就差通过API后使用了
