This assignment is to be completed and submitted by the end of teaching Week 13 Semester 2,
2023; it has been designed for students to reflect on relevant learnings acquired throughout the
entire Course.
There is a list of topics (see later in this document). Choose
ONE
topic.
Depending on the topic you choose, this assignment will give you an opportunity to demonstrate your
understanding and knowledge with respect to the overarching learning objectives and aims of the
course, i.e.:
o
Basic concepts, theories, evolution and drivers of digital health.
o
The role of digital information communication technology (current clinical practice
and future potential) to facilitate best possible clinical decision making, improve
patient safety and improve organisational efficiencies.
o
Significant digital health activities - both domestic andinternational.
o
Main considerations when incorporating digital health services and tools to
ensure safe and efficacious patient-centred care.
o
How digital health has the potential to improve health literacy and empower
individuals to become more active in their current and future health.
o
Known challenges and barriers to effective digital healthimplementation.
The topics in the list provided are purposely broad in scope to enable use of imagination and
application of critical thinking while planning, researching and writing. You are expected to incorporate
relevant definitions, concepts, terminologies and examples relative to the topic.
Your assignment cannot merely be a descriptive piece of work; this is an academic task and
therefore there is an expectation that the work will be a balance of descriptive and analytical work.
