Tips for making a connecting flight
转机小贴士

Connecting flights allow one-stop service from almost anywhere to almost anywhere else, but that process also puts you at risk of missing your connection. And while you can never completely eliminate that risk, you can at least minimize it. Here's how.
转机能为乘客提供一站式服务，让乘客自由来往各地，但转机也有风险，可能会导致乘客错过航班。虽然这种风险不能完全消除，但至少可以将风险降到最低。操作方法如下。

1. Stick to one airline or alliance

//选择同一家航空公司或联盟
Where possible, book connecting flights on a single airline or on airlines that are partners in an alliance. Typically, at big hub airports, airlines try to make sure that their gates and partner gates are close together. 
尽可能预订同一家航空公司或航空联盟的联程航班。通常在大型中转机场，航空公司都会尽力确保自己的登机口与合作伙伴的登机口距离相近。

2. Avoid two-ticket trips

//避免使用不同航空的机票出行
If at all possible, avoid an itinerary consisting of two separate tickets on separate airlines. If you're on two separate tickets, your first flight is delayed and you miss a connection, the second airline treats you as a no-show. It can cancel your reservation and make you buy a new ticket for its next flight. 
尽可能避免使用两张不同航空公司的机票。如果使用两张不同的机票，第一趟航班延误，错过转机时，第二家航空公司就会将乘客视作不能如约出席。航空公司可以取消你的预订，让你重买一张机票。

3. Choose your seat

With a tight connection, try to get a seat toward the front of the cabin on your first flight. Being near the exit door can shave 5-10 minutes off your deplaning time. 
如果转机时间非常紧张，乘坐第一趟航班时，尽量找个靠近机舱前部的座位。靠近出口可以减少5到10分钟的下机时间。
