【PP那些事儿】SAP Segmentation 系列之认识

好久没有更新了，准备做一个关于SAP Segmentation系列文章。今天我们就先认识一下什么是Segmentation，他能干些啥，有啥优点，又有哪儿些当前SAP版本不支持的一些功能。文章最后，会附上视频链接

1.Problem Statement

        ERP soulutions before S/4 HANA Specially Life Sciences and Pharma industries were facing Challenges in product differentiation like Production site,RM Origin,FDA regulatory approvals and certificates and as a soulution either they were managing it by multiple material codes and many manual processes to handle this data or they were handling it via some custom solutions in SAP

2.Segmentation S/4 HANA Soloution

        A new supply chain segmentation functionality has been introduced as part of S/4 HANA release 1709 and finalized with release 1809.

       S/4 HANA Segmentation is an enhancement to the material master that categorizes materials based on defined characteristics. Based on demand and supply matching rules between the requirement segment and the stock segment of the material,S/4HANA can automatically align the specific product batch being delivered to a customer based on the specific market attributes of the customer. The functionality was previously available within the retail industry solution of SAP ECC (availability limited to some supply chain processes)

4.Segmentation Benefits

        Regulatory approval planning

                ·Shelf LifePlanning and risk evaluation

                ·Selection of bathes in finished goods based on country

        Shipments pack considering shelf life

        Optimise stock

        Reduce number of products and production complexity

5.Segmentation in S/4 HANA

        Purchase order processing (Includes PR, PO, PIR, IR)

        Production planning and execution (MRP with segments, Segments in BOM, Routing, Production order, Batch determination)

             QM (Planning, Inspections and Results based in segmentation)

              IM and WM (process goods with segment, manage stocks, TR, TO Stock overview)

            Sales order (SO, Inquiries, Quotation, Contracts, Delivery and Billing, Availability check with AATP)

               Product Costing (Calculate Cost at Valuation type level based on segment)

6.Limitations(Until S4 1909)

        Safety stock is supported only at Default stock segment level

        Segmentation is considered only in MRP live (MD01N). The classic MRP is not supported.

7.SAP S/4 HANA Segmentation Limitations

        In SAP S/4HANA segmentation is not supported in the following applications:

        Quality Management（QM）

        Production PlanningDetailed Scheduling (PP-DS）

        Process Order

        Demand-Driven MRP（DDMRP）

        Predictive MRP（pMRP）

        Segmentation structure and strategy are not considered in EWM

        Spare Parts Planning(SPP）
