Two days ago, I went back to school as soon as I finished Mom’s physical examination about blood pressure. But, to be honest, I am so regretful that I couldn’t accompany her to do every physical aspects although Mom told me that she felt uncomfortable with legs and heart and couldn’t sleep very well. Now, I can’t focus on my task just because that. On the other hand, I have to admit that I have no money to pay that medical bill. And what if there does exist something wrong, which is affordable for my family? Anyway, next time, I will bring her to do physical check of heart and legs . Nobody knows how anxious and frustrated I am feeling. I am worried whether I am completely able to dealt with my future including my graduation requirement, internship and formal job. I can tell that I am unwilling to stay here forever. I want to try everything new; see and visit abroad, study further in some foreign university. My intension is not to pursue a higher degree, but an valuable opportunity for education which I think is unique to me . But, when I read some academic papers and embark on my planning for graduation thesis, I feel so hard. I mean, nobody tells me which one paper is worth to read and which one is not. I admire my roommate that she could sleep very well, but I couldn’t. Maybe I should eat more balanced ? I don’t know. But I am still trying to find the best way.

2022/7/5 Morning

I will retell the story I read this morning. When Julianna knew Bryce was a sneaker and coward, she just avoided him at school , or hided from him at home. But, Bryce was desperate to talk to her, so continued to pester her such as calling her on the phone, snacking around her house, knocking on the door, and tapping on her window. He wanted to take her hands and told that he was not that jerk making cracks about her Uncle David any more. In the end, Bryce stomped over the grass in her yard and started digging up one hole. When Julianna saw this, she was furious and wanted to yank open the door and stop him. But her father eased her back and told her that he thought that boy had a good idea and gave him permission to do what he’d come to do. Then, they sat on the couch, and peeked out the window. Bryce noticed she was there and gave her a nod. Yeah, no wave, no smile, just a nod. Then he dragged a bag of potting soil , pierced the bag with his spade and shoveled dirt into that hole. After that, he wrestled a big burlapped root ball across the yard, the branches of a plant rustling back and forth as he moved. Yeah, Julianna finally got it that he was planting a tree and could tell from the shape of leaves and the texture of the truck that it wat a sycamore tree, which left her lost on the thoughts that in a hundred years from then, whether there would exist a kid climbing it the way she climbed one up on the Collier Street, seeing the things she did, feeling the way she did. And she believed that it would be miles in the air, a amazing and magnificent tree. Maybe her mom is right; there is more to Bryce than she knew. She gave a little wave back when she saw Bryce stared out the window at her, put his hand up and waved. It occurred to her that in all those years they’d known each other, they’d never sat on the porch and talked. She thought it was time to meet him in the proper light.

2022/7/6 Writing English Practice

This morning, I resume the book called Flipped. And I spent more than one hour reading it and following the audio book of Track 1. This part is Bryce’s memory that he makes a first acquaintance with Julianna Baker. Julianna appeared as a mud monkey, her shoes caked with the stuff. Afraid that she would get mud everywhere, Bryce’s dad refused her help and hinted her just run along home by reminding her that her mom might be wondering where she was. But, Julianna apparently didn’t buy it, told them that her mom knew that and pointed across the street where her home was. Finally, Rick , Bryce’s dad, ran a ditch by suggesting Bryce that it was time to go inside and help his mom. And Bryce certainly got it and headed for the new front door. But what he did not anticipate was that Julianna came after him. And then he just made a big windmill motion to break away from her , which led to his hands tangling to hers. At this point, his mom came out of the house and immediately got the world’s sappiest look on her face. When Bryce broke free, he did the only manly thing available for a seven-years-old boy—dived behind his mom. She suggested Bryce to show Julianna around the house, without receiving the warning signals sent by Bryce with every part of his body.

2022/7/9 Writing English

This morning, I read and recited a short story between Juli and Bryce when they were in the sixth grade. After Bryce’s supposed friend Garatte told Shelly what Bryce was up to, Shelly cried for days and followed Bryce around school, sniffling and making him feel like a real jerk. Bryce thought, that was even worse than having Juli as shadow. Although the principal tried cross-examing him, he didn’t cop to anything. He just kept telling Shelly that he was sorry and he really didn’t understand what had happened. Finally, Shelly let him go.
In the sixth grade, Juli didn’t chase Bryce anymore. Instead, she sniffed him. You can blame that on their teacher Mr Mertins. Mr Mertins had got lots of doctorates on seating arrangement. He analyzed and scrutinized and practically baptized the seats they had to sit in. When the dust finally settled, Juli was right next to Bryce. This was actually a bonus for Brace. To fully appreciate the brilliance of this, you have to understand that Juli was the kind of annoying persons who made a point of letting you know that she was smart. Her hand was first up, and her answers were complete dissertation. Her homework was handed in early and used as weapons against the rest of the class. Add the extra credit she did to an already perfect score. Bryce swore that she never got less than 120 scores in any subjects. After Ms. Mertins stuck Juli to Bryce like glue, Bryce snagged numerous answers from Juli. After all, her answers were right next to the aisle , just a eye-shoot away. And Bryce was happy that he got A’s or B’s on any subjects. But after several months, Ms. Mertins pulled the shift. His reason was so bizarre .Something about optimizing positional latitude and longitude. This time, Bryce sat right in front of Juli. That was where sniffing comes in. To get rid of it, Bryce tried various ways, scooting his chair way forward or putting his backpack between him and seat. He even asked Ms. Mertins to move him, but the teacher rejected it since that would disturb the dedicate balance of educational energies. (What utter nonsense……) In a word, Nothing helped.
Without Juli’s perfect answers, poor Bryce’s grades took a dive, especially spelling. When she was in the middle of sniffing him, she noticed that he blow lots of words. Suddenly, sniffing became whisping spelling. At first, Bryce couldn’t believe it. Was Juli cheating? Then he accepted those help of Juli. Several days ago, It really bugged Bryce that Juli ‘d always been so sly about sniffing that nobody noticed her. But, now, The fact that she was sly about whisping answers was okeay by Bryce. For Bryce, the bad thing about it was that he started counting on her giving answers. After all, why study when you don’t have to? (What a real jerk……) Bryce thought he spent the sixth grade somewhere between unhappy and uncomfortable. (T want to say to little Bryce that “Don’t push your luck”) He hoped that the next year would be different. They would be in a junior high school which was a large world with too many people to worry about seeing Juli again.
