Description

Job Description: Software Engineers conduct or participate in multidisciplinary research and collaborate with design, layout and/or hardware engineers in the design, development, and utilization of productivity enhancement layout tools and design rule checkers, electronic data processing systems software. Determines computer user needs, advises hardware designers on machine characteristics that affect software systems such as storage capacity, processing speed, and input/output requirements, designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education, judgment and formal software process.

 

Qualifications

1. Good at C language programming and deep knowledge of Linux OS;

2. Knowledge of x86 architecture and various I/O hardware devices;

3. Fluent English skills, including oral and written English;

4. Works on Linux/Unix OS at least 5+ years;

5. Experience of debugging/fixing Linux system performance issues is a plus;

6. Knowledge of hardware I/O or devices is a good plus

Qualification

You must possess a Master or a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with more than 10+ years of applicable industry experience working on a product from design to debug, validation and product release. Additional qualifications include:

-- Strong technical knowledge in android OS and x86 preferable 2 years android experience

-- Strong C and/or C++ and/or JAVA development experience
-- Good planning and customer interfacing skills

-- Experience in Android middleware development. Familiar with Android services & Native services is a must.

-- Experiences in Linux driver development is a must.

-- Experience in Linux graphic driver development.
-- Familiar with different I/O interfaces, ex. SPI, I2C, I2S and etc is a plus.

-- Experiences in Android Sensor, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth and Radio HAL development.

-- Experiences in Android Camera HAL development. Familiar with V4L2 is a plus.

-- Experience in source code maintenance is a plus.
