I had made quite a few BTO (Build-To-Order) applications, which include: 5-room flat at Alkaff Vista (Nov. 2015), 5-room flat at Alkaff Oasis (Feb. 2016), 4-room flat at Kallang Residences (Nov. 2016), 5-room flat at Clementi (Feb. 2017), and 4-room flat at Dakota Breeze (May 2017). All BTO I chose were hot thus not successful. The message received after ballot was as below,

• Unfortunately, as your balloted queue position has far exceeded the flat supply, we regret to inform that your application has not been successful.

Successful BTO 4-room flat at Kim Keat Beacon

The latest try was 4-room flat at Kim Keat Beacon in May 2018, it was a successful application, the ballot was announced more than 1 month later. The message was as below,

2      Your application for a 4-room flat at Kim Keat Beacon has been balloted with a queue position of #. With this queue position, you will have ample choices of flats to choose from.
  
3      The selection exercise is expected to start in Jul 2018. We will notify you of your selection appointment at least 2 weeks before the appointment date, and you may then view the invitation package on My HDBPage at www.hdb.gov.sg using your SingPass. The package will contain the flat list and a list of documents to bring along for the flat selection. If you do not have your SingPass or have not set up the 2-step Verification (2FA) for your SingPass account, please apply for one or set up the 2FA via the SingPass Online Request Service.
  
4      We would also like to draw your attention to some important information enclosed below. Do take time to read it.
  
5      We look forward to meeting you at your selection appointment.
