How to install Wechat on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS
Apologize for my written language. I am Chinese and love our country from heart. That’s for sure. But I find it useful to work in English especially when programming. Besides, I did not install the Chinese input toolkit so I can only use English when using Ubuntu 22.04 LTS.
I tried various methods, includes reading related articles on CSDN.
But the most useful tool is the chatGPT4 which could give suggestions when reporting error in bash.
below will share the steps that I used when complete this task.
0\ at the beginning, you may need to install several toolkit(these tool is my missing part which cause error and figure it later)
sudo apt install xdotool
1\ download the Wine layer to run Ukylin applications on Ubuntu, other versions of wine can even run Windows applications on Ubuntu
wget http://archive.ubuntukylin.com/software/pool/partner/ukylin-wine_70.6.3.25_amd64.deb
2*download the wechat on ukylin*(this version is more close to ubuntu system, but you can also try a windows version)
wget http://archive.ubuntukylin.com/software/pool/partner/ukylin-wechat_3.0.0_amd64.deb
3*install the wine for ukylin*
sudo dpkg -i ./ukylin-wine_70.6.3.25_amd64.deb
4*install the wechat for ukylin*
sudo dpkg -i ./ukylin-wechat_3.0.0_amd64.deb
5\the most important part of Exception Handling
since I am not familiar with Ubuntu system, I try to find more tools to guide me through the process
the first one is: change the system language into Chinese
in this way, you are more likely to understand the suggestion given on the bash to handle it
the second one is: use chatGPT 4.0!!!
this LLM model is the most powerful tools I have ever seen, especially when searching for some basic knowledge. Tell chatGPT that you want it to help you handle your bash problems. Then copy your record in bash as much as you can. It can help you handle it at most conditions.
Mission completed!!!
