What is Critter

Critter is the binding to link NxOgre to the Ogre 3D library. Although NxOgre has Ogre in it’s name. NxOgre doesn’t actually reference or use the Ogre code at all. Instead it trusts the rendering to a “RenderSystem”. In this case Critter.

Compiling Critter

Download

You can download it from https://github.com/betajaen/critter But this version is too old.You need to download the lastest version fromhttp://www.4shared.com/zip/4_VgRqDeba/betajaen-critter-51f9edf.html

Before you complie

make sure that you have set the envirment variable NXOGRE_DIR.It should be path to the directory that your nxogre install.

Complie

Open the solution file with your Visual Studio like Visual Studio 2008.And comple the solution.

Include the header file

To link to critter,you should include critter header files,like this:
#include "critter.h"
Make sure that you have already include the path that critter install to your project

Add the lib to your project

Right-click the project with your mouse and select the property,open the project properties dialog.
In the dialog,you open the "Link->input.Fill in the Additional Dependencies with "CritterDebugStatic.lib" when you are in the Debug model.In the Release model,you should fill in "CritterStatic.lib".
Click the "Apply" button to apply the changes.
