What SPS Are You On Anyway? How to Quickly Determine Your SAP Support Package Stack Number
Enterprise workdays are too often consumed by the chore of looking up reference information – or worse yet, not knowing where to look. This is often the case with SAP Support Package Stacks (SPS). The problem? Many SAPtechnical decisions cannot be made without knowing which SPS you are on. Too often, SAP users get bogged down trying to figure this information out. No more! This illustrated four step process will allow your team to quickly determine the SPS level you are currently on.
1. Log into your SAP system
2. Click on System > Status in the menu
3. Click on the magnifying glass icon in the pop-up window
4. Scroll down until you get to the line showing SAP_APPL and that’s it!
In this example, the system is on Enhancement Pack 4 (Hence the 604 in the ‘Release’ column), support pack 2 (Hence the 0002 in the ‘Level’ column).
This is equivalent to SPS15 based on the following table:
That’s all there is to it!
