How to Install VIM without ROOT Permission

install in your user directory

cd ~
mkdir vim
cd ~/Downloads
git clone https://github.com/vim/vim.git
cd vim/src
./configure --prefix=/home/$USER/vim
make 
make install

then in ~/vim/bin,you can see the vim.

set the alias of vim

then you can set the alias vim with the directory that we have install the vim in the /home/$USER/vim/bin,or just modify the .bashrc file in user directory.
