If there’s any kind of magic in the world, it must be the attempt of understanding someone or sharing something.
如果世上真的有什么奇迹，那么一定是去理解他人和与人分享。

白开水：boiled water

温水、热水：warm boiled water or warm water

For foreigners, the idea of reaching for a glass of warm water in the summer might seem a little odd.
对于外国人来说，在夏天喝一杯温水似乎有点奇怪。

sparkling water指气泡水；still water是没有气泡的水，也就是普通的饮用水。

hot water: 刚刚煮开的滚烫的水, 麻烦，困境

一个人"be in hot water" 或者"get into hot water" 意为“某人处于水深火热”之中

If he can’t get the money on time, he’ll be in hot water.
如果他不能按时弄到钱，那他就有麻烦了。

fresh water: 淡水

Fresh water can be used in many ways.
淡水可以用于很多方面.

ice water: 冰水

A: What would you like to drink?
您想要喝点什么？
B: Ice water, please.
请给我冰水。

pure water : 纯净水

Don’t give your baby too much pure water.
别给你的宝宝喝很多纯净水。

tap water : 自来水

That man is washing his face with tap water in winter.
大冬天的，那个人在用自来水洗脸。

有什么猫腻？：What’s the catch?

A: I just found out about a great opportunity I can work from home only 5 hours a week and I ll earn at least $2000 a month!
B:What’s the catch? (the true meaning B wants to say: you think that there is some problem or lie about this opportunity)
我刚刚发现了一个很好的机会，我可以每周在家工作5个小时，每月至少能挣2000美元!
这其中有什么猫腻？(B的真正意思：你认为这个机会是个骗局或者会有其他问题)

没往心里去：no hard feelings

This phrase is generally used after apologies for social conflicts that are more serious (or have the potential to be serious) not small accidents like stepping on someone’s foot.
这句话通常用在为更严重(或有可能更严重)的社会冲突道歉之后，而不是像踩到别人的脚这样的小事故。

A: I’m really sorry. I shouldn’t have made that kind of remark about you, and I feel terrible about it
B: That’s OK – no hard feelings.
我真的很抱歉。我不应该对你说那种话，我真是太差劲了，

在状态：in the zone

I’m not the best chess player in the world, but when I’m in the zone, I feel unstoppable.

完全戒除：go cold turkey

This idiom is said to have originated in the early 20th century and suggests that a person who suddenly quits something addictive such as drugs or alcohol suffers from side effects that make them look and feel like a cold, uncooked turkey. This includes pale (very white) skin and goosebumps (little small bumps on the skin when we’re cold or sick).
这个习语据说起源于20世纪初，指的是一个人突然戒掉一些让人上瘾的东西，比如毒品或酒精，同时会产生副作用，让他们看起来和感觉都像一只冷的、未煮熟的火鸡。他们看起来都是皮肤苍白带着鸡皮疙瘩(当我们感到冷或生病时会在皮肤上起的小疙瘩)。

Going cold turkey is definitely not the best way to quit smoking.
立马完全停止吸烟绝对不是戒烟的最好办法。

I’m spent. I must have been a difficult math problem in a previous life!

2. I’m a peach! 性格迷人
   All my friends say I’m a peach.
   我朋友都说我好甜啊~

我太菜了：

1. I am a chicken. 胆小
   Ahhhhhh~I am a chicken and I don’t want to go bungee jumping!
   啊啊啊啊_{我是小菜鸡}我不想跳啊~

2. I’m a green hand! 缺乏经验
   I’m a green hand in my company!
   我在公司里太菜了!
