Do you think this is a positive or negative development?

My writing

As we all know, in today’s world, no one can resist thetendency of economic globalization, what’s more, people’s habits of consumptionare changing secretly. I think it’s a good thing for people to be able to buythe same products anywhere in the world.

       On the one hand, I major in computerscience, from my view of expert knowledge, there are many technologies emergingeveryday, such as blockchain technology, deep learning, cloud computing, datamining etc. companies can make lots of amazing products through these amazingtechnologies, it’s convenient for us to buy these products anywhere in theworld, I can’t imagine what our life will be if we are isolated from theseproducts. To some extent, it’s another way of equity. What’s else, there willbe plenty of trades and interactions among countries, which is sure to make theemergence of national economy, it’s no use spending too much time and energy purchasingforeign products through a series of complex processes. On the other hand, theproducts with high quality can facilitate our life, for example, we can easilyget the world’s advanced medical treatments and equipment. It’s not merely goodfor us but for the whole human beings.

       However, the governments initiate that weshould preserve our own cultures and resist foreign cultures, it’s widelyaccepted that foreign products are not only products but also a kind ofculture, we may be homogenized and lose our cultures, I have to admit that it’sworth our deep thoughts, in my view, we should follow the main stream, but weought to protect our culture at the same time, cultural relics, culturalproducts, artefacts are encouraged to promote, further more, the governmentshould give necessary education, and tell them that no matter where you are,you belong to your country and you represent your national culture, it’sextremely meaningful.

       Last but not least, we should control thebad and promote the good, when new things come upon to us, we should seize theopportunity and follow its good trends, but don’t forget to avoid its negativeeffects.
