there's been 1 month since I began using the garbage server in kiz. the admin is really an idiot!!!
I were stuck in so many places! that's one of the reason to open this blog, which is to keep record of how I solve them and the what I learn from try & err.
OK, this is the 1st blood. record some env configuration tips.
- commands used to see the env
- env
env -run a program in a modified environment
one can use it to set/unset/ignore some specified env variables. also, one can see all user-vars by just run env .
usually I choose to export vars in profile/shrc.
- set/unset
see or set shell-vars/ unset specific shell-vars
- variables usually modified
export PATH =$HOME/bin:$PATH # usually local software version is higher than home ones, so put the original PATH in the end export C_INCLUDE_PATH=$HOME/include:$C_INCLUDE_PATH # sometimes one needs to add the home path too export CPLUS_INCLUDE_PATH=$HOME/include:$CPLUS_INCLUDE_PATH export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$HOME/lib:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH # dynamic lib (xxx.so) export LIBRARY_PATH=$HOME/lib:$LIBRARY_PATH # static lib (xxx.a) export PKG_CONFIG_PATH=$HOME/lib/pkgconfig:$PKG_CONFIG_PATH export MANPATH=$HOME/man:/$HOME/share/man:$MANPATH
- personalized configuration (bash)
