我刚试过，电脑上原来就有xp，先在xp下腾出一个分区，例如f盘，然后关盘安装ubuntu，选择手动分区，要是你给ubuntu安装的盘比较大的话，分区就详细点，

若是盘比较小，就挂载个／和swap 把，装好以后要想xp为默认系统，则要修给 ／boot／grup 目录下的menu.lst文件，将文件最后面出现的几行关于你已经装载的xp的配置信息放在第一个，可以对照一下
