Responsibilities:

• Participate in the entire development life cycle including: requirement analysis, driving the testing from planning to completion, designing good test cases with high coverage, testing public web sites and client facing applications, tracking defects with meaningful details, providing root cause analysis and impact analysis and participating code review.

• Work on the migration project from legacy platform to the mainframe

• Conduct the test plan for each iteration/release with manager

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of team/test efficiency

• Design and maintain automation test framework and test method

• Creatively leverage various open source tools, or develop own testing tool/framework to help with function/technical testing

• Share knowledge with peers, mentor less experienced team members

Requirements:

• 5+ years’ experience in software testing

• Bachelor/Master degree in Computer Science, IT, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline

• Excellent in Software Quality Assurance methodologies, process and best practices along with strong understanding of current Internet application development technology

• Strong SQL skills. Prior experience with ETL/migration projects is highly desirable.

• Expert in test cycles, test tools, and testing methodologies

• Good requirement analysis and test case design/execution capability

• Ruby coding experience as a plus

• Experienced in Java/.Net programming language.

• Experience in automated test and framework design and wide knowledge of open source testing tools (Selenium/Webdirver is preferred)

• Detailed knowledge of HTTP protocol, client/server communications, relational database and SQL.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Certain experience in security testing is preferred

• Certain experience in unit testing is preferred

• Working experience in Agile/Scrum project is preferred

• Good verbal and written communication skills in English

• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional engineering team

• Strong team work, have initiative, take ownership

• Performance test experience is plus
