Something new to learn

I'm thinking about goning back to school. It seems there's always something new to learn these days. It's hard to keep up with everything.

Why? You're already a fantastic chef. Are you going to learn how to cook food from other countries in addition to Italy? I love Mexican food.

No, I just need to learn about computers. My boss wants me to start keeping records of costs and inventory on a computer. The accountant used to do it  but she quit. I can also keep my recipes there for easy access.

I'm good at with computers. I can teach you about them. It's really not too difficult but you have to think logically.

Well just remember a teacher needs to be patient. I hope you won't give me any tests. I'm very logical when I have to follow a recipe.

And a student needs to be hardworking, intelligent and diligent. Do you think you can handle that? Using a computer is just like following a recipe. But you can't eat afterwards.

be patient: 有耐心

intelligent: adj. 聪明的, 伶俐的, 有才智的, [计]智能的

diligent: adj. 勤勉的, 用功的, 细心而继续不断的

just like doing sth. : 就像......
