<<<< I keep getting the following "Other device" in device manager after a fresh Win XP Pro install / all windows updates including SP1a, followed by all available P5010D drivers from the Fujitsu website. I thought that this was a Intel chipset driver and even re-installed the Intel drivers from the Fujitsu website:
Device type: Other Devices Manufacturer: Unknown Location: on Intel(R) 82801DBM LPC Interface Controller - 24CC
Device status: The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28) To reinstall the drivers for this device, click Reinstall Driver. >>>>
1. To fix this problem, go to system properties. 2. Select the hardware tab and click on the device manager button 3. In Device Manager, find the unknown LPC controller and right-click and do an 'update driver' 4. When the hardward update wizard comes up, select the advance option. 5. On the next window, select the "Do not Search. I will choose the driver" option. 6. Now go to the Intel listing and select the correct "82801DBM LPC Interface Controller - 24CC". 7. Click okay and you should be good to go.
