摘要

本文介绍了一个基于Linux和XIM协议的输入法服务器 Zhhzinput的设计与实现，并以纵横汉字输入法为实例，具体介绍了 如何在Zhhzinput上实现一个输入法。首先给出了课题背景和课题意义，并简要叙述了XIM协议的原理和课题涉及的相关技术；然后研究分析现有ⅪM输入法服务器的 功能及相关实现技术，在此基础上确定了Zhhzinput输入法服务器的 设计方案，并详细讨论了相关实现细节；最后，以纵横汉字汉字输入 法为实例，具体介绍怎样实现一个基于Zhhzinput中文输入法服务器 的输入法程序。本文介绍的Zhhzinput输入法服务器吸收了Rfinput和 miniChinput输入法服务器的优点，它不仅可以作为Linux中文化工作的一项重要内容，而且有利于促进基于Linux的中文输入法的发展。

此外，本文提出并实现的简繁平台使用同一输入法服务器的方案有一

定的新意。

Abstract

This paper introduces aninput method serverbased onLinux andⅪM protocol，Zhhzinput，including both its design plan and its

implementation，anddescribesindetailshowtoimplementaninput method on Zhhzinput，taking ZHHZ Chinese input method as an instance． This paper first brings forward the background and significance ofthis subject．followed by the principle ofⅪM protocol and some

associatedtechniques．Then this paper investigates the functionality of some current XIM server with related techniques，on basis of which the paperdetermines the design plan of Zhhzinput with its detailed implementation．Finally this paper introduces how to construct an input

methodprogram based on Zhhzinput，taking ZHHZ Chinese input method as a sample．Zhhzinput，which combines the virtue of Rfinput and miniChinput， not only plays an important role in the job of Linux localization，but also promotes the development of Chinese input method based on Linux in China．Furthermore，we introduce an idea that a unified input method server can work well on both simple Chinese platforms and traditional Chinese platforms．This is an innovation of our project，and we believe that it must be helpful to those developers who are exploring in this field．
