Ontology for the Domain of Universe
1.
Overview
As
is
known
to
all,
the
universe
consists
of
countless
celestial
bodies
and
interstellar matters, some of
which are within human
’
s cognition, but
most are
not. Even the knowledge of
the law above all things in this large, mysterious space
still depends on the sages
’
conjecture, from the classic physics to the M-theory
.
Thus, it
’
s impossible for me to build a complete and perfect ontology for this
macroscopic
domain.
Some
concepts,
physical
or
philosophical,
can
hardly
be
stated clearly
, say
, is this universe ruled by the God above? And so on. Therefore,
the ontology I am to build is just based on knowledge within physical scientists
’
cognition, in other words, it
’
s just an ontology for the domain of
celestial bodies
(interstellar matters included), rather than some philosophical concepts.

Specification of a Concept Hierarchy
A concept hierarchy for the
universe
domain is presented diagrammatically
overleaf, as is shown in the following picture.
